Bowater chooses Super•Cor® Box Culverts for forestry roads.
Super•Cor® Box Culverts have become common for new and replacement bridges in the forests of Eastern Canada. Forestry companies requiring a wide span, low rise bridge find Super•Cor® boxes to be economical alternatives to conventional bridges, especially when it is desireable to maintain a 2-lane roadway at the stream crossing.

Bowater has a number of Super•Cor® box culverts on their forestry road network. One such installation is at Pont de la Branche de l'est in the Gaspé region of Québec. The SC-54B structure has a 12.3 m span with a 2.7 m rise. It was installed in July 2000 and is designed to carry L-125 live loading. Bowater chose YDL Maintenance to do the installation. YDL has become an experienced installer of Super•Cor® structures.
