Position: Project Coordinator
Department: Engineering
Location: Mirabel, QC

As a full-time position, the Project Coordinator is responsible for the management and contract administration of several medium to large-scale construction projects, while also controlling costs and providing superior customer service. 

The Project Coordinator assists the Regional Engineer in responsibilities related to his/her role.

Duties:

  • Manage several projects concurrently from award to completion
  • Issue sub-contracts and requisitions necessary for the projects
  • Coordinate with Clients, Sub-Contractors, Purchasing, Fabrication, Shipping and Installation
  • Oversee requests for change orders in scope and information to complete projects
  • Coordinate with Sales, Manufacturing, Production Scheduling and Material Management 
  • Schedule drawing submittals, delivery of material to jobsites and approve invoices
  • Submit monthly progress claims in conjunction with the Inside Sales Manager and approve invoices related to projects 
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are met at all times
  • Provide sales support to Technical Sales Representatives as necessary
  • Review/check information relayed to and from the Engineering Department
  • Visit jobsites to provide site assistance to contractors
  • Assist Regional Manager and VP Operations with projects as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in the construction industry an asset
  • Detail oriented, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Computer skills using MS Office software programs are required

Education: 

  • Civil Engineering Technologist or Project Management (DEC-AEC)

Relevant Experience

  • 1 to 3 years in a Civil Engineering / Project Management role
