AIL acquires leading sound wall company

May 2, 2011
Sound-wallKenzie MacPherson, President, Atlantic Industries Limited (AIL), is pleased to announce the strategic acquisition of the business assets of Harder Luckey & Hargrave Inc (HLH Walls), an industry leader in sound mitigation wall systems.

HLH Walls manufactures lightweight, easy-to-install Tuf-Barrier and Silent Protector noise wall systems – and offers “turn-key” solutions, including: design, product development, testing, engineering, manufacturing and project management. With headquarters in Fergus, Ontario, and a North American distribution presence, HLH also sells its products worldwide through its dealer network.

“HLH’s products and expertise are perfect complements to our engineered infrastructure solutions in retaining walls, structural plate, prefabricated bridges and drainage pipe,” says MacPherson. “We are excited to have the HLH team on board and look forward to growing the sound wall category through AIL’s Canada-wide network and the global reach of The AIL Group of Companies.”

We ensure HLH customers and suppliers a seamless transition as Travis Welch and Evan Boyle head-up the new AIL Sound Wall Division. Welch will become the Division’s Manager and Boyle will continue as Sales Representative – both under the stewardship of AIL veteran, Dale Gaston, the Division’s Vice-President.

“AIL has a 45-year reputation as an innovative solutions provider,” says Welch. “Their trans-sector experience, engineering depth and proven expertise in larger project consortiums will give us the critical mass needed to take our success to the next level.”
