The optimum combination of strength, flexibility and performance.
Corrugated Steel Pipe is the material of choice for today’s infrastructure projects. It will not crack under impact loads or vibrations due to the inherent strength of steel and the flexibility of the corrugated pipe section.
The high ring compression of the pipe absorbs and transfers the load to the surrounding soil around the entire circumference. The beam strength maintains the grade and line of the structure by bridging inequalities of the trench bottom and side fill.

Optional Coatings
Providing a service life of 25 to 75+ years, AIL offers three factory-applied finishes to meet your performance and hydrology considerations:
- Galvanized (25 years)
- Aluminized Type 2 (50 years)
- Polymer-Laminated (75+ years)
Soil conditions and a variety of other site/application factors can influence your choice of CSP coatings. An environmental assessment will help you select the appropriate coating to meet your Design Service Life requirements.
Galvanized - Standard service life of 25 years
Galvanized Steel is the standard finish for all Corrugated Steel Pipe (CSP) and performs well in low-abrasion conditions.
Aluminized Type 2 - Service life of 50 years
For more corrosive environments, Aluminized Type 2 coating offers the superior corrosion resistance and surface characteristics of aluminum with the strength and economy of steel.
Polymer-Laminated - Service life of 75+ years
Polymer Laminate is a tough, heavy-gauge film that is laminated to both sides of galvanized steel to produce a corrosion and abrasion barrier for the most aggressive environments. Polymer Laminate CSP will stand up to high concentrations of acids and alkalis.
Corrugated Steel Pipe wall thicknesses and profiles
AIL’s Corrugated Steel Pipe comes in a variety of corrugation profiles and thicknesses to meet a wide range of structural design applications.
CSP thicknesses are 1.3 mm, 1.6 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.8 mm and 3.5 mm.
Corrugation profiles available are 38 x 6.5 mm, 68 x 13 mm, 76 X 25 mm and 125 X 25 mm, which can be ordered in various sizes and thicknesses.
AIL’s CSP is available in 6 m to 15 m custom lengths.
