The Société de développement de la Baie-James (SDBJ) needed to replace an older crossing over the Kakaskutatakuch River at km 139 on Route Billy-Diamond in Northern Quebec. The project team opted for a set of twin Bolt-A-Plate Rounds for the replacement, with Best-Kote Buried Bridge Coating on the lower sections only, and step-bevelled ends that contoured to the embankments.

The coating system provides two layers of protection — a zinc-rich base layer and a Polymer-finish layer over top. The result is 360° protection against corrosion, abrasion and inorganic acid, salts or alkali (diluted).
