Algonquin Bridge opens new facility

Creating Innovative Bridging Solutions is much more efficient now that our AIL Group sister company, Algonquin Bridge, has moved into its brand new manufacturing plant in Thorndale, just outside of London, Ontario. All of their growing teams are now under one roof and their layout, with two 25-ton overhead cranes, can produce up to a 250′ continuous structure with built-in efficiencies.

The right place at the right time
The Algonquin expansion is another example of our ongoing commitment to innovation and growth. Thorndale was selected for its proximity to the large talent pool in the London area (with its universities and technical colleges) but it is also just off Highway 401 for easy Canada-wide shipping.

The flow-through production layout was carefully planned for maximum efficiency. It features end-to-end material flow, a 21′ working height under the cranes and three 24′ wide overhead doors.

Two floors of adjoining office space are home to our executive, sales, engineering, and production management teams. An official opening event will be held in the fall of this year.
