Woven and Non-Woven Geotextiles for separation, filtration, drainage and reinforcement applications.
AIL offers Silt Fence and Geotextile solutions in a variety of weights and strengths to suit your project’s design requirements and site conditions. They are an economical choice for dependable performance in silt retention, soil separation, steepened slopes, embankments and road base reinforcement.
Silt Fence
Using silt fence as a temporary sediment control device can help mitigate expensive cleanup costs and environmental harm. AIL’s Silt Fence protects surrounding neighbourhoods, streams and catch basins from silt contamination by collecting and filtering sediment from sheet flow run-off. Silt Fence is available in rolls of 3’ x 100′ (0.91 x 30 m).
We offer two Silt Fence products:
AILSF90
- Grab tensile strength of 90 lbs (400 N)
- Conforms to the physical property values listed on the Product Sheet below
AILSF120
- Grab tensile strength of 120 lbs (533 N)
- Conforms to the physical property values listed on the Product Sheet below
Non-Woven Geotextiles
Recommended for Separation, Filtration and Drainage
AIL’s Non-Woven Geotextiles are produced by needle punching 100% synthetic staple fibres in a random network to form a dimensionally stable fabric. The synthetic fibres are specially formulated to resist ultraviolet light deterioration and are inert to commonly encountered soil chemicals. The fabric will not rot or mildew, is non-biodegradable and is resistant to damage from insects and rodents. We offer four Non-Woven Geotextiles:
AIL4NC
- Available in rolls of 15′ x 360′ (4.57 x 110 m)5
- Conforms to the physical property values listed on the Product Sheet below
AIL4N
- Available in rolls of 15′ x 360′ (4.57 x 110 m)5
- Meets AASHTO M288 Survivability Class 3
- Conforms to the physical property values listed on the Product Sheet below
AIL6N
- Available in rolls of 15′ x 300′ (4.57 x 91.4 m)

Woven Geotextiles
Recommended for Separation
AIL’s Woven Geotextiles are produced with polypropylene tape yarns woven to form a dimensionally stable fabric. The polypropylene yarns are specially formulated to resist ultraviolet light deterioration and are inert to commonly encountered soil chemicals. The fabric will not rot or mildew, is non-biodegradable and is resistant to damage from insects and rodents. Polypropylene is stable within a ph range of 2 to 13. We offer two Woven Geotextiles in rolls of 15′ x 360′ (4.57 x 110 m):
AIL5XW
- Meets AASHTO M288 Survivability Class 3
- Conforms to the physical property values listed on the Product Sheet below
AIL6XW
- Meets AASHTO M288 Survivability Class 1
- Conforms to the physical property values listed on the Product Sheet below
High-Performance Woven Geotextiles
Recommended for Filtration, Reinforcement and Separation
AIL’s High-Performance Woven Geotextiles are composed of high-tenacity polypropylene yarns which are woven into a network such that the yarns retain their relative position. They are inert to biological degradation and resistant to naturally encountered chemicals, alkalis and acids. We offer three High-Performance Woven Geotextiles in rolls of 15′ x 300′ (4.57 x 91.4 m):
AIL90
- Conforms to the physical property values listed on the Product Sheet below
AIL100
- Conforms to the physical property values listed on the Product Sheet below
